As they are sucked further up and launched out of the artificial dome they’re in, we get a close-up of the girl's face that highlights her robotic eyes. Out of the blue, our unnamed characters are sucked up into the sky, and the spaceman uses a large net to stop the satellite from colliding with them. Capcom aims to establish this next-gen game as one of its core brands moving forward. The developers aim to provide deeply profound storytelling, meaning audiences shouldn’t expect anything to the effect of Vanquish. Eventually, some weird corrupting force begins to warp a nearby building, then suddenly a space satellite comes crashing through what appears to be an artificial roof of glass. Pragmata is classified as an action adventure title set in a dystopian near-future world on the moon. They’re walking through a large city, reminiscent of New York, that appears to be abandoned, with cars littered about the streets. News of the Pragmata release date, gameplay, trailers, and everything else to do with the game has big boots to fill thanks to Capcom's legacy so far.The Japan-based studio potentially has the best horror pedigree in all of video gaming with the Resident Evil series, and titles like Haunting Ground, Sweet Home, and Dino Crisis to boot.
The trailer begins showing us a spaceman, a little girl, and a robot cat that projects the holographic shell of a real feline over its body.
It’s fairly cryptic and confusing, and looks straight out of the bizarre mind of Hideo Kojima at times, but there is still some information that can be gathered from the strange spectacle. So far we’ve only had the one trailer for Pragmata, back in Sony’s Future of Gaming show in 2020.
